Unemployment

Time to create enough jobs to resume pre-recession levels: 10 years. Total population increase in 10 years: half a billion people. When enough people can’t feed their families?

You get civil wars.

It’s pretty uncomplicated.

I have a horrible feeling that if the insurgents in the Middle East “win”, that in the longterm they will end up like most folk in the west – just “yoked” in an entirely different fashion.

They will give up unionisation, take pay cuts, see their work and pensions devalued chasing the dream that they too will be millionaires one day, rather than standing with their fellow man, whilst the millionaires become billionaires and trillionaires.

The whole world needs a revolution. And less babies.

It’s easy to think as much, because the consequences here are far less. This is changing. Results ultimately matter, however — deficits will continue to increase and unemployment will remain a constant.

Let’s see how much clout AARP has left when it’s base is living in a nursing home.
